Listed below are some of the successful programs undertaken by the members of the Phillip Island Aquatic Centre Fund Inc.

Note: You will notice an apparent slackening in the amount of work carried out by our volunteers over time. This does not reflect a lessening of interest in the project but is indicative of the difficulties that have arisen with Public Liability and the costs associated with it.

Year 2000:
  1. Gala dinner and Sports auction to launch the Fund, May 2000.
  2. Monster Garage sale June 2000.
  3. Olympic Ball sponsored by the San Remo-Newhaven Lions clubs, October 2000.
  4. Phillip Island Triathlon, sponsored by Active for Life and the Phillip Island R.S.L December 2000.
  5. Variety of raffles run through out 2001.

Year 2001:
  1. Lamington drive which sold 1400 dozen Lamingtons. Sufficient to win a Television bonus prize, the television was raffled away later in the year.
  2. Fund raising through volunteer labour at the Phillip Island swim January 2001.
  3. Fund raising through volunteer labour at the Cowes Classic Biathlon, February 2001.
  4. Fund raising through volunteer labour at San Remo Channel Challenge, February 2001.
  5. Fund raising through volunteer labour at Shannon’s Classic vehicle Grand Prix, March 2001.
  6. Fund raising through volunteer labour at the World Super Bike Grand Prix, March 2001.
  7. Gala dinner, Sports auction and raffle, May 2001.
  8. Official charity for the Qantas 500CC Motorcycle Grand Prix, 2001.
  9. Garden party and Arts and Craft fair, November 2001.
  10. Variety of raffles run though out 2001.

Year 2002:
  1. Monster Wheelbarrow raffle, January 2002.
  2. Fund raising through volunteer labour at Shannon’s Classic vehicle Grand Prix, March 2002.
  3. Banquet and Trivia night, July 2002
  4. Volunteer labour to dismantle donated Transportable aircraft hangar. August-September 2002.
  5. Variety of raffles run through out 2002.

Year 2003:
  1. Mountain bike raffle, January 2003
  2. Fund raising through co-ordination of the Phillip Island R.S.L Sub Branch Triathlon, January 2003.
  3. Fund raising through volunteer labour at Shannon’s Classic vehicle Grand Prix, March 2003.
  4. Major raffle of household electrical items, Easter 2003.
  5. Fund raising through volunteer labour at World Super Bike Grand Prix, October 2003.
  6. Variety of smaller raffles through out 2003.

Year 2004:
  1. Fund raising through volunteer labour at Shannon’s Classic vehicle Grand Prix, March 2002.
  2. Easter raffle of electrical goods, Easter 2004
  3. Co-ordinate the Phillip Island Swim-a-thon, August 2004
  4. Co-ordinate and manage the Phillip Island Art Auction, September 2004.
  5. Variety of raffles run through out 2004
