Tax Deductable Donation Opportunity

It is incumbent on us to show how our 20 plus years of struggle to build our Aquatic Centre can come to fruition. We raised $258,000 in the past, of which $70,000 is still in our bank, after spending $30,000 on Council required feasibility studies, $30,000 fundraising costs and $68,000 on two aeroplane hangars to house the aquatic centre subject to Council approval which never came. (All other costings, are explained in graph form on our site, for those who wish to see). We now have Council approval and a Council approved site.   We have been told that we now need a further $2 million from local resources, before our centre can be built.

This is how we have come up with that amount: a centre costing $10 million - we need to raise 50% or $5 million, including State Government grants, which we believe are $3 million. That means we must raise a further $2 million. This can be achieved if 20,000 donations of $100.00 are made, we meet our target. All we need is your help! That is, donations from people like you and others concerned with Tourism, Health and/or Recreation. We are also pursuing significant grants from corporate and philanthropic sources. To facilitate raising the $2 million we have formed a partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) who offers tax deductible gift recipient status for donations from those who wish to participate in this vital fund raising venture. We can’t stress enough, if we raise the money, we will get our centre before any other aquatic centre upgrade is started within the Shire - timing is everything.
